Just started getting this error #2036

Only for YouTube embeds - not Vimeo ?

Have read in other posts that it is the JWplayer !

But have a newly downloaded licensed viral player.swf + yt.swf ?

any ideas

this is caused by the source of youtube video and longtail yt.swf ...
We do know this error so we have alternative to play yt video in jwplayer ...

configuration -> display-play -> "JWPlayer play youtube video" parameter
this method depends on the availability of video in youtube's cache

both has pros and cons

O.K. I really don't understand your answer ?

My settings were to use the JWplayer for YT video !

YouTube video's worked until today - and you are saying that periodically because of YouTubes cache we will get the #2036 error, and there is nothing I can do about it ?

Very close.
"error #2036" means the yt video never completed loading.

search in longtailvideo site, you will have some idea.

did you play with below parameter? it may not be better than longtail yt proxy, but sometimes it does the trick.
configuration -> display-play -> "JWPlayer play youtube video" parameter

Yes everything is set to JWPlayer

would it have something to do with this post

because my player is not connected to longtail yet

and should I just be patient until you release this update ?

the fact is that if you are using jwplayer and play a youtube link, it's already using yt.swf proxy.
Otherwise, no video from youtube can be played.
there is nothing we can do from our end.

also do a search in longtailvideo about yt.swf.

In fact we are going to add another player as an option for users
