Hello i downloaded the jvideodirect.1.1.RC3.zip and installed it on my joomla installation installed with no errors but under the tester link in the jvideo component it shows

[Error: PHP path may be incorrect or visit "system check up" to see check requirement]

I have a shared hosting a/c, the current joomla installation i have which i installed jvideodirect on is a addon domain in my public_html/tld.com I have other video scripts installed on other addon domains on this same shared hosting that work fine. I verified the paths and compared with both my other scripts and jvideo direct and it still gives the error

Another problem is everytime i go to the "check up" it leads me to a dead link or a page that displays [Internal Server error]

I have no SEO extensions, and do not have joomla default seo enabled. my joomla root has a htaccess.txt file but I haven't renamed it to .htacess

And last videos "fetch & upload" The file uploads but when i get to the video management area it doesn't show a file length and if i approve it and try and preview it says [movie not found] the file is [pending] and the video file status shows [queue]

I uploaded a video to the tester folder an avi file and ran the tester it converted the file into flv and made the thumbnails plus was playable but it doesn't work when i do it elsewhere

Also when uploading using the ubr (perl) method i get time outs the upload speed slows and sometimes shows database connect error

I like the com and don't mind paying for it but would like to know if i can get these problems solved.

Okay problem solved apparently from viewing my joomla system info area

my php path is

/usr/bin/php5

not just

/usr/bin/php

so for all those who have the 500,400 errors and php path errors and upload video errors trying adding your php version number at the end namely 5.

glad you found the solution....
But where did you finf your php path and executable in joomla system area.

i have been trying to locate it to help other who don't have ssh access.

all we have in system info are
PHP Built on:
Database Version:
Database Collation:
PHP Version:
Web Server:
Web Server to PHP interface:
Joomla! Version:
User Agent:

And it cannot be found in php information.

well in truth i did a bit more deductive reasoning to figure it out since the tester worked figure it was something simple from the php information area under joomla system information i took reference to this information

include_path .:/usr/php5/lib/php

from seeing that i decided to try entering my php version number other scripts work with just using /usr/bin/php i guess you could reference that info in your installation guide
